Jared has a job!!

Yes!! We are so excited to announce that after 4 weeks of being unemployed (6 weeks if you count when he was laid off)... Jared has another job! He will be working for a company called

We have heard wonderful things about this company and we're excited to start on this new adventure. We are so grateful for all the prayers, love, and support in our behalf during this last month!! We have definitely been blessed!! Love you all!!

Why hello there

I will have you all know, I have tried numerous times to get Jared to update our blog... and he won't. SO! If you want to hear from him, you'll have to bug him. Until then, you're stuck with me :o) Anyway~~ here's a bit of an update of us. I'll put random pics of us too... maybe help break the post up a bit.

Jared is ... well, getting bored. It has been a huge help having him home, most of the time, but we are both ready for him to go back to work. He is in the negotiation stage with a couple of companies. We should have a job lined up by the end of this week! Which is actually kind of fast... we're talking 3-4 weeks of unemployment. Not bad. Like I said a previous post, we have definitely seen the Lord's hand in all this. Thank you so incredibly much for all the love, support, and concerns.

This was 4th of July.. not many pictures of me since I have to remind Jared to take them, and I don't like to be in pictures so yeah :o)

Nothing too new with me. Just keeping the house in order, lovin' the little man, and keepin' busy. Life is good.

this was last night- in can you tell it was past bedtime?

Ayden, Mr. Ayden ...Love this little man. We started him on a medication that increases his appetite. He's eating way good now! He's a picky eater, but at least it's possible to feed him now. I don't worry about leaving him for a while any more. Okay, well, not like I use to :o) Anyway~ not sure how much he's gained since starting it last week, but he does seem to be heavier and taller to us. Could be our imaginations. We have a WIC appointment Tues. I'm anxious to see what their scale says.

Ayden seems to get more personality every day too! He loves his dad! I think Ayden will have a hard time when Jared goes back to work. Ayden also loves to "help" (in the pic. above, we had just finished putting in a load of laundry), annoying Buddy, and throwing his toys! Ayden is definitely all boy and it is so fun! I can't believe he'll be one years old soon! Guess we should start planning specifics for his party :oP

I'm so old!

At the beginning of July, we had the honor of attending my nephews pack meeting. This was a special cub scout meeting BECAUSE... and this is where the title comes in... my nephew is graduating cub scouts! Meaning, he's turning 11! I remember the day my bro. told us his cute wife was preggo! Shoot, I remember them getting engaged! Anyway~ At this pack meeting he received TONS of awards. One of which was his arrow of light! For those of you that aren't cub scout people, arrow of light is the highest award you can get in cub scouts AND it is the only award that goes with you onto boy scouts. We felt so privileged to be invited to this special event. We are so proud of our nephew who is growing up to be quite the amazing young man.

Zoo visit

Yes, this is a long over due post! Back in like the second or third week of June a good friend invited us to go to the zoo! It worked out so a second friend came too! It was so much fun hanging out with these two ladies and their adorable kids. Ayden did fabulous too! I thought at least.

After the elephants, we had ice cream and we went on a train!

can you tell he loved the monkeys too? I really think "monkey eyes" is a suitable nickname!

Ayden's first hair cut

Yes, Ayden is only 10 months old but the dude needed a hair cut pretty bad. I debated off and on whether to do it, talked with Jared, and then this last Sat. evening, we decided to just go for it. So we did! Ayden did fabulous! So sad that he's looking more like a little boy now though :( when did my baby grow up?? Anyway~ here are some pictures doing. I do have a video on our ipad... it's kind of long (5 mins) and boring... I may post it anyway lol Sorry! Here are the pics:

Think we forgot?

I know! I am horrible about this blogging thing anymore! So sorry! I'm trying! I think I'm somewhat caught up on life... hopefully now I can be better *knock on wood* But until then, sorry this is another quick update on what the three of us are up to.

We'll start with me, seeing how I have the least amount to talk about lol. Life is same old for me. I'm still at home with Ayden, doing activity days for church, as well as playing the piano for primary. I'm excited though because this week I get to have a woman trip with my mom, niece, and three sisters. We will dearly miss Anna and Angie! But yeah, that's about it for me.

Now for Jared... um... let's start off with Jared was released from two important things this week. He was laid off from his job AND they released him from scouts. In regards to job, please pray! He's starting to get his resume out there and already has a lot of good job leads. We did get a great severance package, so as long as he finds something before the end of the year we're okay... but obviously, the sooner the better. And after two and a half years as scout master, they released him today. Bitter sweet thing. He loves and will miss those boys. But I'm grateful that Jared will be around more. We both had a feeling this was coming. Overall, we feel at peace and the Lord's hand in all these changes that are happening with Jared. But still would appreciate prayers while on this unknown road.

Mr. Ayden... oh Mr. Ayden. Now at 10 months old he is weighing a whole 14.5 pounds! He is tiny and failure to thrive. We saw a dietician this last week. Pretty much all she told us was to add pediasure to his formula. It has helped a tiny bit, you can tell he enjoys the taste better. But we're still at ...we're lucky if we get 25 oz in a day down that kid. Still a "no go" for solids too. We see a pediatric specialist at the end of Aug (prayers he gets us in sooner though!). Just don't know what to do for that kid and his eating. Time will tell though, I guess. As far as developmentally, he's right on target. He's mastered going upstairs, and can go down them. He's still learning the whole down thing though. He'll wave, clap, climb over everything... get into everything... He's definitely getting his own little personality too. He WILL get that toy he wants, and nothing will stand in his way. lol Its funny to seem him try to crawl away from us while we're trying to get him for a diaper change or something. He is a riot.
