Back? So Soon?

YAY! Aren't you proud that it hasn't been that long since my last post and I'm already posting again?? I know it may not seem like a big deal to most of you, but I am a big blogger, usually. Hope to get into it more regularly again.

Nothing really new is going on. "Thor" is adjusting to the new dose now, just in time for me to take it down again today. We'll see how it goes. Prayers please! Oh!! We did have the families of "Thor"'s siblings over. Sounds funny huh? "Thor" has 2 1/2 sisters that were adopted by one family. He has a full blooded brother that was adopted by a second family. We hope to be able to let the 4 kiddos grow up knowing each other, and having at least somewhat of a bond.

So~ Nov. is national adoption month!! WAHOO! Yay adoption! So I just wanted to quickly put it out there that anyone who wants to do a guest post about adoption, I would absolutely LOVE it!! No pressure, but if you'd like I'd be more than happy to post it. This is assuming you write nice things about adoption. I know adoption isn't always looked at as a positive thing, people don't have a great expirence with it for one reason or another. But here.... we're total adoption advocates, so as Thumper's father said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all".

Love to all!!

Couple of randomness things

You all will be happy to know... this post has pictures!! :o) Sorry... just seems like lately all our pictures have been of "Thor". We can't publish those unless, until adoption happens. No, we do not know if it will go there yet. Hopefully we will know a little more Nov. 07 when we go to court again. Anyway~ I'll do a quick update on all three of us then on to the pics.

Jared and I are same ol', same ol'. Jared's been busy at work, dealing with scouts. He's amazing! All he does for us, his family, our church, etc. He's definitely Mr. Incredible. I can't think of a single new thing with me.

"Thor" is still ... as Jared says, scrappy. He's growing great though. He definitely doesn't like one of the medications we have to get him. Hopefully, if all goes well, he'll be off of it in like 3 1/2 weeks. "Thor" has been irritable since starting the weaning, you can tell he doesn't feel good. But hopefully as he gets use to the lesser amount, he'll do better. "Thor" very much needs to be swaddled tight and have the pacifier to fall asleep. That is, unless he's been held and tired enough. He is waking up... pretty much just once in the night now. Can I just tell you how much the momma loves that! I am definitely spoiled. That's about it for him.

So... here's a few random pictures I found:

This first one my amazing friend Ashley took.

Personally, I LOVE it! The words describe adoption perfectly!
These next ones are from Women's conference. My good friend Wendy had tickets. She invited her friend Scarlett and I to go with her. So we made a girls night out of it!

These next few are of Buddy and his blanket. I don't know why, but Buddy has an unusual obsession with his blanket. He goes CRAZY! if someone takes it from him. At night... he doesn't always have to cuddle with it, but when he does, you better believe Buddy's on it all night. I'll warn you, these pics. don't do the obsession justice. We'll have to get a video some time.

That's all I have for you folks!! Hope you're having a fabulous day! Love to all!!!

So sorry!

Guess I got so wrapped up in caring for "Thor" that I didn't realize it had been a week since I've updated. SO! Here ya go~

Jared's doing great! Amazing as ever. He's up against a deadline at work, but he's handling the stress so well! I'm very proud of my incredible husband.

I'm doing good. Nothing new on my end. Just same old housekeeping, day to day stuff. Keeps me way busier then I would have ever imagined.

Now the real reaon most of you read now... an update on "Thor". :o) He's doing so great! Such a stubborn baby! lol He shouldn't have any problems fitting in our family, should we get to adopt. And stubborness is what helped him get through all he has. We got "Thor" home on Wed., about lunch time. I can't tell you how great it is to get him home. He's doing great on the whole growing department. I think he's going to be a petite boy... or as Jared says, scrappy. Yesterday he weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz, which is like the 20th-25th%... and he's like 19 in. long, which is like the 2-3%.

That's about it for us! Love to all!! Hope to hear from you soon!

Bittersweet

I just got off the phone with the doctor. "Thor" is now a level 12 (out of 13!) The dr. said that "Thor" won't be ready to come home for another 4-8 days though! I have mixed feeling. By all means, I don't want "Thor" home until he's ready. But, on a selfish note, I want him home with me! And it sucks having to drive a total of 2 hours a day (we see him twice a day, and each one takes 30 mins). I'm also glad too because this Sunday is our ward primary program... since I'm the pianist I was kind of stressing about what to do, but ... no need to stress now.

Not much happening

Well HI! How are all of ya?!? We're doing fabulously!! All three of us. Nothing too new going on. Jared and I are the same old boring people :o) We're speeding a lot more time at the hospital now a days. Hopefully that'll change this weekend! "Thor" is now a level 11 (out of 13). So if all goes well he may be home Sunday, Monday- ish. So stinkin' excited. Can't wait to get that little angel home. He's such a trooper through all of this. As far as legal matters, um... we did have court today but nothing really happened though. We go to court again Nov. 07. I just thought I'd write a quick post, say hi. Let you all know we are still alive. There's just nothing exciting going on. Which is honestly okay, but once "Thor" does get home, things will get exciting. At least for me. :oD Anyway~ hope all is well with all of you. Love to all!

One of these days

Maybe one of these days I'll add pictures again. :o) I'll try not to make these postings too boring.

Jared is still wonderful, amazing, etc. He's working hard at work and scouts. The last few days he's been sick (stomach flu or something like that) but he's on the mends YAY! Don't know that much as changed with him.

I am still staying busy keeping up the housework, now helping take care of "Thor", and all that good stuff. This last week I got asked to do something I'm way nervous about. Little side note to explain... with the scouting (boy and cub), once a month they have a training at a region (i think) level. Everyone involved meets together for like 20 mins. for announcements and all that good stuff... then the people get separated into a group, depending on what their position is. So den leaders go to one, committee chair and members go to one, cub master, etc. Hope that all makes sense. Anyway~ this last week I was asked to do the training for the den leaders! WHAT THE CRAZY?!? I have not done den leader in a long time. Plus, any of you that know me, know that I stink at training, public speaking. Oh well. It'll all work out right?

"Thor".... sweet, little "Thor". He's staying strong. The hospital has him on a 1-13 scale. 1 being he's really struggling, it'll be a while. When he's level 13 for 48 hours he gets to come home. Right now, he's about a level 6. So he's about half way there. We're looking at about a week- week and a half until we get to bring him home. As of yesterday they increased the calorie amount in his formula. Apparently he's not gaining as much, as fast as they'd like him to.

Think that's about it for us! Hope this finds all of you well. Love to all!!

"Thor"

Sorry, this is another post without pics.

Anyway~ as I mentioned earlier, we are getting a new foster son. He will be known as "Thor" on line. I don't particularly care for it, but Jared likes it so I figured I get to pick the next one. :o) Anyway~ "Thor" was born Sept. 25. Due to stuff I can't go into too much detail about on here, "Thor" is in the NICU. We are able to go see him whenever we want! Usually ends up being like twice a day. I would do more, but ... dang that housework and life not stopping! hehe... "Thor" I would say has a very strong, determined spirit. He is a fighter. We love him already. "Thor" will probably be in the NICU for about another week and a half, maybe two weeks.

As far as his case with the state... who knows. As of right now, he is in our custody. His birth parents can go see him when they have a caseworker with them. They have supervised visits. Um... on Oct. 11 all the lawyers, caseworkers, the birthparents will meet and determine what they think birth parents should have to do to regain custody. On Oct. 12 it will go before a judge to make it a court ordered thing. If that makes sense.

So there ya go... there's what we can tell you all publicly about the case. Hope all is well with you guys. We're off to see our "Thor" baby! Love to all
